Comments and Curiosities

A dwarf palm tree that grows in the eastern part of the Brazilian state of Paraná in grassland on sandy soils. It forms an underground stem (acaulescent), and a small crown of fine, feathered, gray-green leaves. It grows faster and is generally stronger as it matures. The fruits are very popular. A very pretty. Cold-compatible palm for warm temperate regions. (RPS.com)
