Codiaeum variegatum Lemon Top
This croton originated in the Philippines. It was named by Dr. Frank Brown. Its synonyms are Imelda Marcos and The Rose of Tecloban.
Dr. Brown changed the name for the sake of a photo with Filipino botanist Dr. Juan Pancho. Dr. Pancho refused to pose with a plant named after Imelda Marcos but agreed to the photo if it were renamed Lemon Top.
