There are two subspecies, Pinanga limosa var. limosa, and Pinanga limosa var. montana

A small palm from rainforests in peninsular Malaysia with leaves that can be finely pinnate as well as undivided and entire, and usually different leaves are formed on the same plant. (RPS.com)
