Habitat and Distribution
New Guinea.
Description
A rare palm from rainforests in Western New Guinea, Indonesia with beautiful leaves that carry a few, oval, lightly mottled leaflets with finely drawn out tips. The emerging leaf is dark purplish red. It will do well in most tropical climates and prefers a sheltered spot in the garden out of full sun. (RPS.com)
