Comments and Curiosities
A small Attalea from cerrado vegetation in eastern Brazil, that forms a crown of elegantly arching, bushy leaves from an underground stem. Though very rare in cultivation, it is a fine palm for the dry tropics that can be used in landscaping where plants must stay short. (RPS.com)
