Vonitra fibrosa is one of the 'hairy' or 'cousin It' Dypsis palms that are plants with relative hardiness, long, fiber-covered trunks and the habit of branching dichotomously, all from Madagascar of course. In the wild, at least, this plant tends to be smaller than Vonitra crinita and Vonitra utilis, but maybe taller than Vonitra pusilla. Otherwise they do tend to look a lot alike.
