Common Name: none
Ravenea moorei is a fairly rare Ravenea for California despite it's being grown here for decades. There is some controversy over its identification from individual to individual and some 'larger' Ravenea hildebrandiis may in fact be Ravenea mooreis, and some Ravena mooreis may end up being Ravenea madagascariensis, or even some undescribed species. It does not seem to have a clearly unique feature that allows for accurate identification in California (they are much smaller and less robust than in their native Madagascar which does not help).
