Pronunciation: sigh-AG-russ x BOO-tee-uh x jew-BAY-uh
Common Name: Queen Bu Ju Palm
Syagrus romanzoffiana x Butia odorata x Jubaea chilensis is a hybrid created by taking pollen from a Butia x Jubaea and crossing it with a Syagrus palm. The resulting palm seems to a pretty attractive species though so far no mature palms exist in California. The palm has the general look of a Butia, but more graceful and with the younger trunk of a Butia x Jubaea. Cold tolerance is unknown but suspected to be quite good.
