Missing Name Tag (ID please)

Lost the name tag on this one. 1st pic is from last Fall. 2ed pic is as of today. Lost all leaves during our cold Winter, but had no dieback.

Possible Davis #2 on page 14 of A Cordiaeum Encyclopedia. The earlier picture looks like it got oversun. The current picture looks like Davis #2 that has not colored up yet.

Well at least I gave it a shot, the plant is a bit small to make a positive I.D. still.

Interesting as I was making name tags for my Crotons today this one in 2 diffrent threads has 2 IDs. The pics here were Id as Buddy. Same plant around Aug 1st here.
