Nice Variagated Sabal domingensis - Comments Wanted

I would agree thats a nice rare palm! Ive heard of palmetto being variegated, so domengensis could do it as well. definently share the seed when it sets. it may have a greater chance in the offspring. Luke

Freezing Floridians - Scott, How Are You Doing???

sorry to see the damage to your garden Scott. It a great place youve created. nothing will die, R. rivaulris can take low 20's here and come back. these are tough palms. That is surprising to see damage on Chinese and Rhapis excelsa. there must have been some radiational cooling going on.

    An unusual Sabal

just ran across this thread. very unique sabal, looks like a palmetto but definently different. I think is a genetic variation of S. palmetto. kinda like the opposite of Sabal 'lisa' wih crunched fronds and no leaflets, where this one has fine wispy leaflets. Did you write any experts...

Palm Puzzle Contest - No. 2

Congrats Matt! Dean is correct with his information timeline. When Dean said this one was hard he was right, I would have never guessed these palms, never even knew the names existed, But I found them in the encylopedia and knew I had a match. I knew it was going to be much harder since the...
