Once you learn how to post pictures it's easy... Impressive leaf! Got a shot of the whole plant?

    Mrs. Robertson?

Looks close, but the one in the book seems like slightly wider leaves and I don't see the heavy red and black on the older leaves like your plant has... I think your plant looks better than the one in the book, so very nice whatever it is  And then again the differences could be all...

Allan, thanks for resurrecting this thread - truly a croton paradise! Now if we can only figure out how to get some of those plants sent over here....

    Fresh cross

When I have open female flowers and open male flowers at the same time  though I'm working on a pollen storage method to save the pollen for when I need it. I'll usually pollinate in the morning before I leave for work, and again in the evening when I get home, so probably not ideal...

    Find of the day...

Updated pics from June 23 2012 of same plant in above photos: The blotched sport is getting lost in there, so time for an airlayer... Several branches have reverted back to regular Petra, while this one seems to be going to a full blotch... And this is the best branch left - I...

    State of the "Society"

I agree with Allan, and I think the Society page should be edited to reflect an international approach, sort of an open forum "society" open to all with no membership dues (so no printed newsletter) at present. Letting it lie, well, that's what the Society page here is doing now, in a literal...

    Fresh cross

X = ? Reliance X Stoplight Pollinating Reliance flowers with Stoplight pollen yesterday and today... Hope some seeds set. I think this could be a good hybrid - both of these varieties tolerated some low temps and crowding in the greenhouse last winter with very little leaf drop.

    Mind Boggling Petra

Every time I see a block of Petras at a nursery I scan them for sports and it's easy to see lots of different colorings but rarely ever a sport... They drive me nuts with "that one looks different" and "so does that one" but they are all just Petra... One time I found a blotched Petra that...
