ViewsJD Andersen Hawaii GardenFrom PalmpediaTHE SLIDE SHOWS ARE AT THE BOTTOM OF THE PAGE
Recently the Hawaii Island Palm Society (HIPS) toured this awesome garden, and presented the opportunity for Palmpedia to take some photos and start a Pictorial of Jerry and Cindy's Hawaiian Garden, a truly tropical paradise.
Located in Leilani Estates on the wet east side area of Puna, everything grows remarkably well and fast. With 150 inches of rain annually, along with the warm climate year round, not many places on Earth can claim a more ideal environment for a tropical garden. The following slide shows give the viewer an idea of the overall ambience of the Andersen's garden along with a taste of some of the rarer palms. A gallery will follow shortly with Hi-Res photos along with the names of these exotic palms and other rare plants in this wonderful garden.
On a PC, QuickTime is needed to view these slide shows. You probably already have it, so try first. But if not - GET QUICKTIME If you still use Internet Explorer, you may need to wait about a minute before they will start playing. Try Firefox. It's a quick painless installation, and a much better browser. Much More to Come. |
