Congratulations: Great Garden

I have not been to this garden in years, but even then it was one of the most amazing, impressive palm gardens in all of California, and could easily be the best there is now. Congratulations! It is a masterpiece! I am certainly looking forward to seeing it again. Geoff Stein

  • Geoff, I couldn't agree more. And Jeff has a fair amount of room to make things even nicer with a pond and waterfalls as well. Dypsisdean 16:39, 6 July 2007 (PDT)

Dypsis Psammophila "not"

This palm looks very similar to a dypsis that Jerry Anderson had in his Hawaii garden. He called it Dypsis sp. Lafazamanga. There are some pics I posted in the main page, check it out. Does anyone know where Jeff acquired his palm, maybe it came from Jerry. It does look similar to the black stem palm.

  • Nick, I have this palm in Leucadia as well. It did come from JD Andersen, but as D. psammophila. He thinks it may be the real D. psammophila. I do not. In either case it is not his D. Lafazamanga. I was just over there and asked him. --Dypsisdean 18:08, 23 February 2008 (PST)
