Comments and Curiosities
Etymology: The specific epithet named after naturalist Joseph Jackson Lister.
Conservation: Phosphate mining is a major threat to all of the native flora. The species, which has only one flowering phase during its life cycle, is further threatened by seed-predating crabs which limit the potential for regeneration.
