While at a flea market, I stumbled across this, what I thought, was an unusual post card featuring crotons. On the back, the card states about the care and where more croton cultivars could be found.

Is this anyone's mother or grandmother? Anyone know any history behind this postcard???

Rick-
Using post card collectors terminology: It is a 'chrome' (from Kodachrome, the film that was used for the first color photo prints); it was printed before 1964 since the publisher's address has a two digit postal code instead of the later 5 digit ZIP code. Since the text on the reverse is touting Flamingo Gardens, good chance this may be Flamingo Gardens circa 1960. The firm in Miami Beach is the publisher; <oepplel kolor Cards did the actual printing. The alphanumeric code at bottom center is a manufacturer's code (which if you can decode it probably tells the year and maybe month in whcih printed).

)(*&^%$#@! Hit the ENTER key to move down a line and it enters the text already keyed in; Along the scenic drive between Hotel hana Maui and Sacred Seven Pools of Kipahulu

Not bad - only two croton PPCs in 2 and a half years
