I was making name tags today and I had purchased this as Sunny Star. Yes/No?

Bren, "Sunny Star" vs Yellow Ecurrans.... S.Star has no leaf twist and no pink blush to the backside of the leaf. Green and yellow coloring is darker.

Scott - I think Sunny Star is the trade name. Another patent search might reveal where the name originated and who introduced it into the trade. Never saw any other name for it. It has been a reliable if not too spectacular croton with no defoliation the past two winters.
#1 Sunny Star in dry part of yard and in part shade.
#2 A mystery or very fine clone of Yellow Excurrens; cannot recall trade name for it but green is more intense and yellow is brighter than in photo and the yellow/green pattern looks reversed from...
#3 Yellow Excurrens from local brush site.
#4 Banana - easily recognized by the 'thumb' on the leaf.
