Enjoy the random pics (taken with the world famous Blackberry Bold)
Allan - that last one really caught my eye. Not sure it is a cultivar I am familure with.
Boy that is one huge Mammee. That must have been in the ground for decades!!
Now I thought the last one was a stoplight, but when I compared the photo to my stoplight it had me baffled, the difference was the patches of pigmentation on the leaves, so I made the trip back and got a cutting from the owner, let’s see how that turns out.
The last one looks like Dayspring in very high light.
I found the following photos on a Google search
The first two pics labelled Dayspring came from a photobucket gallery (http://photobucket.com/images/Croton+Dayspring/)
The other pic Daybreak came from this forum called "Croton Adventure" (http://www.palmpedia.net/forum/archive/index.php/t-2589.html?)
The first photo has the rounded leaf reminiscent of Compte de Germiny and not Dayspring. The second and third appear like Daysrping.
Here are photos of a similar but older plant. Does this help with an ID?
Allan here's a pic of my Compte de Germiny...Chris
Again probably a different light situation.
Allan the second pic in the post looks like Roccio to me.
Again much different lighting. your pic in full sun and mine in shade.
Allen I really enjoy your post of your trips to the markets and the coast of Trinidad how about a picture of the market with Roti and curry. I think we found a new love in the southern Caribbean and a travel hot spot for vacations if we go we will visit your garden. Thanks Kip
