Spectacular Pandanus monotheca

    A spectacular Pandanus monotheca. A good friend gave me a 15 gal plant today, and at the rate this grows it will be this size in two years - really. Here is a pic of his plant.

    I will call you on that one Dean. Two years. Spectacular,I agree with.
    Is that a Aloe barbarae in the background? On Hawaiian life I saw a large Dragon tree fronting a yard. Just not often you see the dry tropicals there.

    Here is a photo of the same plant from less than a year and a half ago. Geoff (Palm Bob) was here and took this photo then. I was with him. Google
    "Pandanus monotheca Daves Garden" to see this and more photos. I know, I couldn't believe it either when I came across this photo.

    Oh - sorry - I can't help you with the ID of the Aloe. I will be going back to this garden within the week. If I remember, I will ask.
