    Jesse Durko recently loaned me his croton photos that were named by Mr. Halgrim and in going through them I found some synonyms of interest.

    Peace = Andrew Kinsey
    Jensenii = Superbissima
    Delicatissima = Golden Thread
    Coral Shower = Coppinger's Shower

    To keep things as simple as possible, can we just use the more current names that are being used at the moment?:)

    Marie, is the first name the synonym, and the second name the original?
    Thanks

    Jeff,
    I agree but some people are interested in the old names for historical purposes.

    I also added a couple pages of names that were missing and cross referenced them with the synonym info.

    Marie,

    Either Dr. Brown's original book or Jesse's photos are mislabeled. The 1960 book describes Superbissima as a yellow and green only corkscrew. The Christian papers mention red as the leaves mature so the synonomy with Jenseni is very possible. It's likely the book is wrong as it is known to be somewhat flawed.

    The book also struggles when it tries to distinguish Multicolor, Irregularis and Prince of Wales. We can cover that one at another time.
