What do folks recommend as a plant food for crotons? I've heard they like acidic conditions but is something like Hollytone too acidic for them? Should I stick to something like Osmocote instead? I also have Citrus and Palm food but don't know if they would be appropriate.

Keep in mind I am up north and so mine are all in pots. So far, I've given mine one shot of Miracid, since they went outside, to get things moving - and all are growing actively now.

I use the cheapest slow release I can find from the bigboxstores and get good results.
In my experience any fertilizer is better than no fertilizer...
