found this in the Orlando Sentinel:

Mark and Deirdre Peters operate a nursery in Vero Beach and had a booth Saturday. The couple specializes in crotons and cordylines, which are tropical plants that keep their color year round. "We're passionate about these plants," Deirdre said.

Mark offered a tip to anyone new to crotons: It's best to put only a few next to each other, and not crowd them. "You don't want them to scream at you," he said. "You want them to sing to you."
