Newly Planted Pigafetta

I finally got this beauty planted yesterday. I purchased this Pigafetta filaris as a 4 inch palm a little over a year ago. It went in the ground as a 4 ft well rooted 7 gallon palm. I am hoping to get long term success with this palm due to our very mild winters in Key West. It is on display at the Audubon House in Key West. I will periodically post updates in the future.

The fastest growing palm declared by many. Should see 3+ Ft. of growth a year once the trunk forms. Its truly a rocket!
