    Here is my Stoplight that went black 2 years ago. Finally showing color again.

    Scott - did you know there is a cultivar called Lights Out? It is very rare and I had the opportunity to purchase it. I resisted the temptation of its rarity and passed. It just did not get the moose juices flowing. :p

    Low light will cause a Stoplight to black out easily.

    Mine is in fairly deep shade and it stays red.

    I think if you keep it actively growing in a sunny spot then the lights will stay on...
    This one is in mostly full sun, with just late afternoon shade:

    Stoplight has regained its standing as one of my top favorites. Love the color and graceful 17" leaves on 5" leaf stem. IMG_0094.JPG
