Kerriodoxa elegans - Doesn't get much better

    Possibly my most favorite fan palm. More impressive in person - with entire leaves so large it is a port in a sudden afternoon storm. Throw in shinny black petioles to contrast against the brilliant silver underside, and it is a show stopper.

    Dean, I thought these were dioecious. Do you have a male nearby? Beautiful palm, I love them too. Wind protection helps to keep those leaves from tearing. I have one at a clients yard that takes quite a bit of sun and still looks great.

    I thought they were too, but the seed look really large and healthy. I have seven in a group, so I have no idea of knowing exactly what is going on.
