I have spoken of the root like growths (first photo) that come off the main stem of Ti plants before. I put these growths to a test to see if a plant can be grown from such growths. I placed some in soil and a few that were low to the ground do their own thing. The ground planted growths are putting out roots now ( I pulled them up to check on them) and the one wrapped in a wet paper towel ( second picture) shows a growth sprout and a root node in about a weeks time. The Kiwi cutting you gave me was cut into three sections, all of which have rooted. One of them has these root like growths and root hairs are sprouting out of it.

Ken, That Hawaiian style Kiwi wastes no time. The stem that I cut the top for you has put out 12 growth points as of now. I will be cutting that stem into more sections soon. pizap.com14291405282481.jpg

I have removed these root like growths from most of the Cordyline in the last few weeks and am pleased to report that new plants are emerging from them. I left them on my Lucha for a more natural test to see what happens when they hit the soil on their own. Img_9609.jpg IMG_9611.JPG

Interesting. Any roots yet on these extensions?

Curious as to what if anything was happening with them in the last week, I lowered the pot of soil and I see the white roots. Back under soil now and no more peeks. View attachment 31565 pizap.com14307795022491.jpg IMG_9653.JPG

Interesting looking little plant grown from the root like growth from Miss Andrea. Leaf growth is like that of the 'Earthquake' Cordyline. pizap.com14375784471821.jpg
