Picked these up from a local big box. The first is labeled as "mammy" - which I'm quite sure is incorrect based on the leaf shape?

I'm quite happy with the score - afterall - it was less than $5 combined

The first one is probably AFD #5, sold in the big box stores as "Fantasy". The second one is Yellow Banana.

Sorry again for the newbie questions - but how many AFD's are there? I'm guessing that all positions 1-7 are accounted for? I am getting more an more into crotons - but the more I do - the more confused I get?

So is the leaf shape/color characteristic what defines a cultivar?

......must quit addiction now.......and did I mention that someone turned up my interest level in cycads over the weekend?

Stick a fork in me - I'm done for !

AFD (Azienda Floreale Diem) was (is?) a nursery in Italy that hybridized crotons for the indoor foliage trade back in the 1970's including the main croton sold in the US today...
