Hyophorbe indica 'Red Form'

    I am tentative to say for sure as they were gift seeds from the in laws in Miami and they just know it was a nice looking palm. In their third summer they took off after two summers of tepid Hayward temps. The color wasn't until this summer.
    Well,one day it will be the only ones in ground. In gopher proof cage too!

    Oops. They are Bottle Palms.
    Doing fine for the winter...indoors!

    Seen red ones like yours before at Redland Nursery. They loose the coloration after the juvenile stage

    That sounds more likely. Still have all three going and outdoors for the summer. I don't see them as outdoor plants in winter ever here.
