Greetings, all. I had a dialogue via text with Ron Parlett last week. He said that he was looking for a croton named Southern Cross. I told him that I liked the name but had never heard of it. We did not get into any details about what the plant looks like either. He did specify that H. Lee was particularly interested in finding one of these. I'm thinking it's probably a West Coast plant. Does anyone have any input?

We could solve this search the normal way. Pick some random plant name it Southern Cross make up a wonderful story of finding it in a roaring fire at some abandoned estate and swear a blood oath of truth.
