This croton was suffering from too much shade for a couple of years. Located adjacent to a Pritchardia thurstonia palm, the very large palmate leaves prevented little light to reach it. Pruning of the lower fronds coupled with the thinning out of the avocado branches in the area has allowed more sun and a spurt of growth. This Red Foot be looking pretty good come Sept.
