Crotons from the Roof

    Have been busy doing some roof maintenance. Sitting on the roof, I noticed some of the crotons look pretty darn nice from that aspect. Got up there this morning with the camera to share the view. :)

    Some of these plants have gotten large and look better from the roof than at eye level. The birds get a lot of color bling. ;)

    This is what happens to Norman Rockwell that was planted in perfect lighting 4 years ago. Now it is overly shaded and lacks its true color potential. Everything around it grew up. There is a very rare Dypsis canaliculata that is heavily shading it, a palm that I refuse to trim off any fronds that have any green. A Pollock avocado also shades it, which does get pruned back as the fruit gets harvested.
