Croton seedlings - crap and keepers

Most Croton seedlings in my garden are just plain green. Occasionally you'll get a few yellow or red spots, and once in a while, an interesting leaf, but most of them just get pulled with the weeds. These are some that I've left in the ground. Notice the size of the one with long, narrow, green leaves in the last picture. The two in the picture above it are the ones in the lower left for size comparison.
