Seeing Phil's thread about the variety Maryland, I had to go back to Dr. Frank Brown's original book. I remember Maryland being disccussed in Florida Varieties under Connecticut. Is anyone growing Connecticut? I would love to see a photo of this cultivar.

Page 115 Description: Narrow leaf, short to medium length. Brilliantly colored, reminding one of Ethel Craig. This croton was introduced by the Robert Craig Company (Norwood, Pennsylvania) and listed in the 1913 catalog. It is one of a group of 13 seedlings named for the original 13 states. Connecticut and Maryland are the only two from this group which are known by name and they are nearly lost.
