The clown? Had this palm for a few years. Now it's a large 7 gal plant & I've gotten a few cuttings of it. It's been uneventful growing this one. Sun, part sun, shade..nothing perks it up color wise. Grows like gang busters & flowers profusely. The wiki pics look so colorful compared to mine. What's the secret with this one?

The clown was a Davis plant. Harold Lee knew it was there, searched through everything till he found it, and propagated it. The clown. Saved. Thanks, lee

Good Information Kurt, thanks. This plant was won at auction a few years back when the society met at Phil's. This could be his plant but I thought I won it from Searle. Non the less, happy to learn how it came to be in my garden! *edit* meant plant not palm. Oops
