An amazing cultivar!
...and as of today.
Thanks for the great pictures of Flamingo Jerry! Now I have to find one for myself.
Wow Jerry, that looks great. Is this one getting more shade or is it in a bright spot?
Hi Ray - the plant is located on the south side of the property under a double roebelenii.
It gets a lot of dancing light. As you can see, other plants located here appear very happy. I'm not sure I could ask for better color.
Late in the afternoon they get some direct sun. Keeping them well watered seems to help the plants exposed to the winter sun for several hours a day.
Also when I planted the palm, I took an electric chipping hammer and dug a 5 ft. diameter hole approximely 3 ft deep. So there sitting in a good 4 ft. of black dirt.
Scott, Mark Peters has some; I bought one from him at a USF sale a while back. Mine's not as colorful (so far). You can reach him at 772-240-2811. His nursery is in Ft. Pierce.
Perry, Thanks! I will check with Mark for a Flamingo. I have gotten a few Crotons and Ti plants from mark in the past.
Jerry - how about an updated photo of Flamingo? Those flushing leaves in your previous posts should have some amazing colors ...
Here you go Ron. It's got a way to go yet before peaking.
Looking great,I have one that went to sleep over the past 4 months but is now showing some signs of waking up
