Found a croton paradise. The names have been withheld to protect their innocence.
Looks like paradise to me...... There are some astounding leaf shapes in these pics ........
Always find your posts amusing Moose!!! THANKS!!!
Amazing cultivars, Ron. Love all of them. Wish I knew all the names, though.
Ana - I knew this thread would torture you. Honestly I don't know what the majority of them are. I believe many are cultivars we are familiar but the exceptional robust color is somewhat deceiving.
This one is simply amazing
Yeah, I knew you knew you were torturing me. I need to learn, so I'm always looking for identified photos/plants in yards. I think you know some of them. Let me try a few, and you tell me if I get any right.
2) Trinidad Interrupted Leaf
3) Resembles Mackenzie, but I can't see enough of the leaf pattern or scale
6) Tommy Halgrim
8) ? but really spectacular
10) Feel like I know this, but blanking out
11) Joe Friday
14) Really is amazing! Is it Mike's amazing cultivar we saw at the tour?
15) ? President Reagan
Don't recall how big these leaves were, Captain Gilbert Cutler or Thomas Edison, I'm leaning towards the later.
Could this be Toad Tongue ?
I'm pretty sure that #8 is Davis 87
#20 =Very nice hybrid from J.C.I have asked him to name it and he said he would get back to me.
#14, I picked this up as Flame but I am a little unsure if that is correct
#7 is the Freak from David King
#10 Mosaic in need of a little color
Thomas Edison - no doubt in my crotonic mind on this one.
Moose - lots of these small Thai like crotons look pretty much the same when small like the one in the photo. ...and rarely does one see a larger one ( 2 ft tall or higher).
Wow, #20 is magnificent!
Some more torture for Ana with her morning coffee.
Clueless on this one. Bright sun was kissing it so the colors in the photo are not the same that were hitting the naked eye, which were even more spectacular.
This may be a Jungle Queen in the process of coloring up. I could be wrong.
I don't think so, leaf shape & color off for a Davis #87
