    Ray,

    That's a beautiful looking croton! Do you have anymore information on it? I was curiuos, was the name attached to this plant? Or did someone pass the name on to you, matched up with this croton?

    I'm assumming this plant is no longer at the museum, when all the crotons were removed several years ago. A very nice plant......

    Jeff,

    I could be dead wrong about the name. There was no tag on the plant but the colors and leaf shape are right. You gave me a little rooted BJdR a few years ago and it has very, very similar characteristics.

    Those leaves look like they could be rather large. Is this a large leaf cultivar?

    Ron, the leaves were about 12-14" long. I really think it's Baron James de Rothschild. It's on Jeff's list.

    Ron - You do know there may very well be a thousand different varieties, right? You might need more acreage for a full collection.

    This area (click) is where I've found dozens of the less common Crotons. Take a drive with some ziploc bags and clippers.
