    redundancy

Bakers Dozen coming along. even the green one is colored on the underside. Also a few other seedlings. It's amazing how so many seedlings look so much alike, but coming from the same batch of seeds it makes sense. They're getting much bigger!

    Bakers Dozen +1

Here's a group that numbers about 14 now. Some have potential. I call them Bakers Dozen. My water quality is terrible and leaves a haze on the leaves but here goes. They're a cross of Eleanor Fischler and one of my seedlings. The last one came from another cross so +1. Jerry I thought you...

    seedlings I breed with

This is one that is a cross of Sybil Griffin and Irene kingsley. Leaves can be quite large and better shape than this. It's in a pot and needs to be in the ground. I have many seedlings from different crosses coming from it. That's Richard Krukonis? to the left and Daybreak below.

    tall & leggy

This I could name tall & leggy because that's what it is. I don't really like it's habit at all. What is interesting about it is that it is a cross between Pops Yard and Polychrome. A yellow. I only had 3 seedlings I kept and the other 2 were colorful but refuse to grow. Go figure.

    bakers dozen

I have a batch of seedlings about 2 1/2 yrs old I thought I'd call bakers dozen. There are 15 plants here and I've given a couple away. The parents are a cross I made (jungle queen by chili pan) x eleanor fischler. They have a remarkable resemblance to one another and are coloring up nicely...

    Two more

Here's 2 new ones. I don't know the parents of the one on the left but on the right is Bimbo by Mrs Peyton. The plant growing in the yard that is now virtually dead along with the barbados cherry growing next to it and the cassia tree to the right of it. Thanks to an over zealous neighbor and...

    small leal Ralph Davis

Here's one I got out of his yard. Leaves are 8" in the largest to maybe 4 1/2' in the smallest. Some of the oldest leaves have a pinkish blush, barely noticeable on top but obvious on the underside. Just dug it out of the yard and repotted it.

    saving croton pollen

I know someone not to long ago asked about saving croton pollen. ( I couldn't find the thread so I'm starting a new one). Well never having had any luck with it I didn't respond. Until now that is. Last week I had a plant I wanted to use as a pollinator which was full of pollen and nothing to...

    this winters weather

Saw an explanation of the weather patterns of the last two years and the difference from this years. The past 2 years there was a high pressure area centered over Greenland that forced the jet stream to bring storms and cold weather through the US. This year the high is centered over the mid...

    Peach Keen

I thought this one was worthy of a name. Peachy Keen seems appropriate for this one. Also another pic of this green and white one. I'm not to fond of them but this one is going strong. Chris

be prepared or..... oh boy Emily?

In anticipation all I can do is sit and wait. If it happens most plants will just be put on their sides (in pots) and the more important ones in the house. The biggest problem is the mangos' need trimming. I hate all the broken limbs. The track is just east of south Fl but maybe only a...

    Daisy Ortegas or william Craig

Got this from Marie several years ago as William Craig but the leaf is always about 1/3 smaller than my other William Craig but is still one of my favorites. I've been told it may be Daisy Ortegas. Thanks again Marie.
