Beautiful Dean! Keep your eyes out for a Saracca thaipengensis-it's another fantastic flowering tree that would do really well for you there.

    Acrocomia aculeata 2002/2007

Very impressive Scott! I just planted a 5g this summer in full Inland Socal sun and it's the fastest growing palm in my garden. Can't wait till it gets as large as the specimens in this thread.

Plant idea needed...help me out ya'll

I'm sure Ron will hook you up Matty. I'd throw in a few Euphorbia lambeii's for some height(visible in the upper right corner of Kim's photo #2).

    Anyone grow Combretums?

Ron, I've got 2 plants of combretum coccinae(sp?); both have barely grown after a couple of years in the ground. They don't seem to be bothered by the cold, but won't grow-any tips?

    The Lowland Ficus dammaropsis

Michael, I've saved that photo since you posted it a few years ago; that is one enormous dammaropsis. I've never seen that form over on this side of the world-wow!

The Propagation of an Anthocleista grandiflora

Nicely done Dean! I did the same thing with a Ficus dammaropsis in Santa Barbara. It seems the most important thing is to get as much root as possible.
