Hi Ray, Good point. I hadn't thought about too much water. We have had a lot of rain this season. Sorry to hear you lost some of your palms. Thanks!

    Pinanga caesia help - please

Thanks for your advice. I'll try a low dose of water soluble fertilizer. I keep it moist in a shady area and I haven't moved it. It's just strange. I hope it will recover soon. Thanks again!

    Pinanga caesia help - please

Thank you for your advice Tim; I will heed it. I've also been told that it may just need more water. I'll continue to nurse it for a while but I might just take you up on your offer at some point. What would your price be for the 3 gallon? Thanks again!!!:D

I need palm recommendations for new croton area.

Anna, I bought my L. weddellianum from Frank at the Banana Patch here in Tampa. I've seen some small ones for sale on Ebay. I just thought of a few more palms that I have that might work for you too. Depending on your space, Kerriodoxa elegans is a stunning, understory palm to about 15...

I need palm recommendations for new croton area.

Hi Anna, I have a beautiful Wallichia densiflora. It doesn't grow tall but it does get wide. The leaves have an elongated fish-tail look with a white underside. I also have a Lytocaryum weddellianum. It is also known as a mini coconut palm. Very beautiful and stays small. Both have been...

    Starting over with one croton

I'm new to Palmpedia's forum and I'd like to say hello to everyone. :D Moose invited me to join from PalmTalk (savannah1). Thanks Moose! I've had several varieties of croton but lost most in the deep freeze of 2009/10. I will gradually build up my collection but for now, I only have one...
