    Saying hello

Hi, Is there anyone left on this forum? I know I've been away for awhile but I'm surprised to see so little activity on the board. I'm busy collecting plants again and rebuilding the garden.

    Fall croton tour??

I've been consumed with house reno this past year but will return in spring. Sorry I'll have to miss this event. It's the one weekend I have guests in Nov. I hope this forum doesn't go away. I joined planet croton just in case. Someone look me up on FB if that happens.

    Missing Exotica

What a rotten human being to do something like this. I hope whoever did this is caught and brought to justice.

    Croton event ??

I just wanted to let everyone know that unfortunately, due to unforeseen circumstances, we will not be able to make the drive after all. Super bummed but hope to catch up & do a drive to SF in May or June.

    Croton event ??

Karl, Thanks! I'm a big fan of broms & phils & really all the shade plants you mentioned. I have 4 granddaddy oaks on this property that provide ample shade. This is the first time I won't have to build a canopy of palms.

Looking forward to seeing everyone. I too am interested in cordylines or other unusual plants since I am starting over.

    Croton event ??

Unfortunately, 8 months ago I sold my place and bought my 'retirement' home. My garden was the major selling point so I left all behind. The fun is in the chase so I'll be in buying mode for the next few years. This WILL be my last garden :)

    Fall Auction

Perry, Your post is timely. I just bought a new place & want lots of crotons. All of mine stayed with our old home. My gardens sold the place. Ground zero for me again. The thrill is in the chase though. Bren

    T/S Hermine

I was up in WI, but from the looks of the yard, I pretty much got away unscathed. My only damage besides some shredded leaves was to a 7' beccariophoenix. Its leaning over & will need to be staked. Thank god Julie was here to drain our pool down though!!

    Tropical Storm Colin

I'm in the middle of a pool renovation and the rains left this yesterday in the deep end & pushed the project out another week. It's draining very slowly so we are water logged. 11" seems plausible. I think it rained over night again too. In a couple days everything will be parched looking again!

    Davis plant?

I had the best kind of schooling today. Thanks to Phil for showing me both plants in person. Seeing them and feeling the leaves (pagent thicker), I was able to understand the distinct differences.

    Davis plant?

I found the tag buried next to this plant. It read Lt. Pagent.
