This croton is an older cultivar not often encountered. Admittedly its not all that fabulous but fills a niche when a green and yellow is needed in a group planting. I may recall Ray Hernandez posting an old newspaper gardening article from the 1950's that mentioned McAdoo in the garden. Unfortunately the accompanying photo was of course in black & white. This plant was acquired from Marie Nock. I wanted to include it in the collection for preservation purposes. The leaf undersides blush colors that is attractive when the wind blows.

Any one else growing McAdoo ?
 
Is this McAdoo? Nice contrast in the front yard.
