Dean,
This is great! Can you print the design on the back instead of the front? I don't need any more attention on the front!
And how about a scoop neck tee for women? Or a button front shirt?
I would love to plant one of these monsters but my garden isn't large enough. I can't put it anywhere 200 feet from my house. They do blow down in hurricanes. Our local botanic garden lost theirs in a hurrice a few years ago.
If you plant them in a wet spot, you can almost watch them grow...
Awesome pictures! The Amazon basin is truly one of the wonders of the world. I love this webpage idea, Dean!
And, Don, keep the wonderful pictures and comments coming. You have the start of a book.
Dean,
I will defintely include the link to the diseases presentation to everyone. You have some really great presentations on the Wiki site. More people should view them. I think I will include a blurb about them in our next newsletter.
Thanks again for all your help.
To Jeff Marcus and Dean Ouer from the Palm Beach Palm and Cycad Society:
We viewed the first part of the Madagascar presentation last night as our program. It was a tremendous hit! The second part will be next month's program. Thanks to Jeff for sharing his trip and to Dean for all the...
Dean,
I had 4 years of Latin in high school and still remember a lot of it. It helps me every day. My pronunciation is good and I have a pleasant voice - I was an overseas operator for about 5 years. I think this is a noble effort and will be happy to help in any way I can.
Matty,
Lovely plant! I don't have that one. I was able to grow A. gigantea from seed. I think that is the right species. It is easy. Almost 100% germination.
Nice photos, Wal! I really like tree ferns. I noticed you have them in a pretty sunny location. I would like to have a couple in my garden. I can only imagine how many orchids I could put on one!
Does anyone living here in South Florida know if they will do well here? And if it makes a...
I want one as well. I have the room. Of course, if I keep planting these giant trees I won't have any room or sun in my yard! But that means no grass, right? More big trees!
