Hey thank you. I did search, but nothing came up on the first page. I went a few pages deeper just now and saw some good stuff. It's actually a lot harder to find them for sale at nurseries. Are there any very popular cultivars I should be asking for?

A nursery in my town has thai crotons. They look different than the landscaping crotons I'm used to, they're more pastel in color and only get a few feet tall. Apparently they're good for indoor, and can't take much sun. I tried asking for more info but the nursery couldn't give me any. Are...

Aedes mosquitoes (zika carrying species) do not frequently breed in bromeliads. They need a larger area. Bromeliads can host smaller types of non-disease carrying mosquitoes.

Thank you for all the responses. So it's not overwatering? I have access to lots of coffee grounds. That should lower the ph and add nitrogen. I'm on it!

Could this be a result of overwatering? The area stays pretty damp, and get splash from the grass irritation near by that runs 3 times a week.

I still want to try. There's a number of other australis hybrids that could perform differently. Maybe with a much more sandy soil?

Any updates on this plant? Is it still doing well. I'm very interested in growing Australis hybrids in florida, no one else seems to be doing it.

Very large plant, probably about 5 years old. It was here when I bought the property and I just noticed it's starting to grow a flower stalk. It's pretty cool!

It seems no one in all of florida carries any of those colorful cordyline australis hybrids like "Shocking Pink" and "Cardinal" and "Charlie Boy" They seem to be everywhere in california, I'm curious why there's none around here. I basically need something the size of a dracena marginata but...
