    Dypsis onilahensis

Just found an old pic that is pretty interesting. The palm in the forefront is a true ambositrae, the one in the middle is the suckering "Unknown" that I pictured above and the palm in the back is the weeping onilahensis. Notice the color of the suckering palm, it used to be a deep maroon and...

    Dypsis onilahensis

Dean, It did have that Baronii, heteromorpha, onilahensis look. I bought another one labeled as unknown at the same time and it suckered and grows like a weed also. Here is a pic of the suckering one. I think they are the same palm but who knows. Corrie and I will be in for Sushi anytime...

    Dypsis onilahensis

Dean, Do you think this is the stiff form? It is by far the fastest growing dypsis I have. It came labeled as unknown so I have no idea what it really is.

Bentinckia condapanna - New Kid on the Block?

Len this pic was taken right after I took it home from Jerry's greenhouse. I will get an updated pic tomorrow. The plant actually looks a little better now than it did then. It has a ton more color and the foliage is just as green. I think Jerry is out of these and I don't think any others...

Bentinckia condapanna - New Kid on the Block?

Wow Dean those suckers have grown a ton in 8 months. I saw these at your place and at Jerry's Hawaiin garden and had to have one. Everyone (including Jerry and Dan) said it probably won't grow In SoCal but no one to their knowledge had actually tried one here. I'm always up for a good...

    Calling all Dypsis Experts

The Baronii Type in Jerry's Garden is amazing! The colors are absolutely gorgeous. He was selling this as dypsis lafazamanga at his nursery in Cali. I bought a 15g that did not look good at all in hopes I could nurse it back to health. I failed and was totally bummed. Jerry told me he...

    Calling all Dypsis Experts

Hey Deano, I noticed all the fuzz on this Heteromorpha a while back and when Daryl posted a pic of his palm I saw tons of similarities. I posted some pics of it on palmtalk and Daryl agreed it looked very similar to his. Here is a pic of my fuzzy plant. I'll try to find a link to the...

    Can Anyone ID Dypsis arenarum???

Deano, I will try to get ahold of Rusty and get you a pic of his plant. It's awesome looking. It does look similar to lutescens but the trunk on his is snow white with a dark purple color underneath. I would guess his has a few years to flower but who knows, maybe it will be sooner. Nick
