This morning I was trying to get more information on McKenzie King and ran across these articles from the Sun Sentinel. I don't think they've been posted before. In the article that mentions McKenzie King, it's spelled Mackenzie King. William Lyon Mackenzie King was a major Canadian leader from the 20's to the 40's.

Thanks for the nice articles, Marie and the name information for MacKenzie King. I wish I'd been able to meet John Bender. I've heard such stellar things about him and his love for crotons. All the letters in the names in the wiki are in caps, but I've added an 'a' to make it MACKENZIE KING. You wouldn't happen to have a photo of this cultivar, would you? Anyone?

Ana,
This is a photo that Jesse Durko took that was used in Frank Brown's book. Jesse gave me all his croton photos to use as I saw fit so I think it's okay to put it in the wiki. What is pictured is a photo of a photo so it probably won't enlarge.

I wish we had known John Bender when he had the plant but we didn't meet until 1998- 99.
