We need some major clarification of what the 3 (or more) Rheedi's look like. #1 is unmistakable but #2 and #3 not so much at least to folks who may never have seen them. I think #3 has a pointed broad leaf but what does #2look like? Are there more than 3 cultivars?

BTW, for those not aware, Rheedi rarely if ever sets seed. When it does, you get stuff like Candy Cane (yes a Rheedi seedling).

Ray,

There are pictures of both, Rheedii #2 and Rheedii #3 in the book. My problem, my Rheedii #3 that I've been growing for several years now, really dosen't look like the picture in the book. Totally confused.....

Here is Rheedii #3 that I got from Jeff. Definitely a broader leaf. Photo taken this afternoon. Never seen a Rheedii #2. Carol Graf says she has one and was willing to trade ...

Just got around to planting this one yesterday and lo and behold a thread about The Rheedii's. I acquired it at the last auction. It is tagged as Rheedii, but no number. It's definitely a favorite of mine.

Rheedii #3 from Searle sale a year or two ago. This plant gets quite a bit of direct sun.
