What is the best location dealing with sun for the King of Siam? I airlayered 6 plants this spring and they are ready for ground planting now. My plant is in 4-5 hrs morning sun and shows very little of the great color I think it should have (after looking at Rickys in the WIKI). Here is a photo of about all the color my current inground plant can show me. Or is my K.o.S. just not a good representation? Photo 2 is of one of the airlayered plants.

I will plant the airlayers in midday dappled sun. Maybe by fall they will show some good color as fast as these grow.

The answer is a new King of Siam for Scottland. Should look good in the royal garden.

Under the Royal Palm ?

The Royal Palm has left Scottland. :) My plans as of now is to have a garden of plants with titles of royal nobility. King, Queen, Prince ,Princess, Duke, Dutchess, Emperor, Empress, Baron and so on.
