Driving home I noticed some croton refuse in a trash pile adjacent to the street. I looped around the block and found this Charmer. :mad: Although not rare, it is not all that common either. Very sad to see this old plant's possible demise. Hopefully it was just a hard prune. This croton was unseen in the back yard or I would have noticed before. Could have just as easily been a Miss Colette. :(

Ironically this yard was an account of mine 17 years ago. :rolleyes:

Peyton - here are some close ups of Charmer leaves ... :)

You can see the ruffled leaf edges that are found on Charmer. I believe that Charmer is more cold tolerant than Piecrust from what our friends are saying in the Tampa/St. Petersberg area.

Those ruffled leaf edges sure fooled me...
