Kentiopsis magnifica

I have had very good luck once these get to 3 gal size in So Cal. Thru a little experimentation, I found these like more light than most people give them. On the coast, they will probably take full sun once acclimated, and part day/morning sun inland.

It's gotta be one of the slower than average palms though. Even in Hawaii, they aren't any speed demon. However, like most of these guys, once they get some size, they begin to move right along.

pics 1, 2, 3, small to med = 3 years exactly

pic 4, almost doubling again in girth = 7 months later (one spring/summer)

full sun, all day, 9 miles inland.

Matty this thread is for magnifica not oliviformis. Great lookin palm though. Survived the transplant well I see.
 
Just be glad it was me and not Paul or Len. They would have unloaded on you.
 
Not until after I feature it on the Main Page for a few months. :) Remember, once something's on the internet, it's there for life. Do you have any pics out there?
